ENGLISH CORONER TO HOLD INQUEST INTO DEATH OF MAN KILLED IN BUNDORAN

first_imgThe late Alan McSherryAN inquest is to be held in England into the death of a man outside Bundoran.Alan McSherry’s body was found by his wife Jo on a narrow country road in Ardfarna, near Bundoran in August last year.An inquest into the death of a the popular Englishman was opened in his native Merseyside yesterday. However the case was adjourned after a coroner was told a woman was charged with causing his death by dangerous driving.The 48-year-old keen surfer, who moved to Ireland 16 years ago, is thought to have been walking home from a night out when the incident occurred.Mrs McSherry had been with him earlier in the night but had gone home before her husband, and then drove out to look for him after waking to find he had not returned home.At Liverpool coroner’s court yesterday, acting Wirral coroner Andre Rebello heard that a prosecution relating to the case was due to go before Donegal Circuit Court next month.
